| Title: | Sunflowers At Dusk |
| Description: | My piece is a dark blue vessel, with thin handles, covered in fiery-orange sunflowers. This pot is handmade, using the coil technique. The sunflowers are carved into the clay using sgraffito technique. I chose to use the colors orange and blue on my pot because I was inspired by Mexican style art, which often combines these hues. The flowers are painted almost messily, without clean-cut edges because I wanted to create softness in the piece that would balance out the sturdiness and hardness of the pot's structure. |
