| Description: | After reflecting on a cultural proverb, the Artist conceived a vase which would be made of a stack of books. He sculpted the books individually, stacked them and joined them, then hollowed out the form. He added a devilish capitalist (in a suit) to help illustrate the concept. After applying a series of custom mixed underglazes (and glaze washes), Grant fired his piece. The resulting vase is water-tight! |
