| Title: | Black and White Spiked Vase |
| Description: | A spherical white crackle vase inside and out with a cloak of blackened spikes for visual effect, texture, and drama was created over a month's time. The white exposed circles on the exterior create visual interest and areas for the viewer to pause and rest amongst the black spike surface skin. The black spiked texture was achieved through the use of metal ball tools indenting the surface and piped with slip utilizing varying nozzle sizes. At the interior base of the vessel, a pool of green tinted glass formed as a result of the thick glaze and intense heat and high temperatures. |
